PrintGlobe joins the Race for the Cure

PrintGlobe was recently amongst the more than 20,000 participants in the 11th annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. Wearing custom t-shirts made specifically for the event, the “Globe Checkers” showed their support while handing out personalized pink bubble pens to participants of the race.

PrintGlobe team leader & race captain, Carey Simmons was thrilled to participate in the cause stating, “We were really anxious to hand out our bubble pens and see everyone excited to get them. Everyone knows someone that has been affected, directly or indirectly with breast cancer.”

On Sunday, November 2nd the “sea of pink” hit the streets of Austin at 8 am to take part in the Race for the Cure, doing their part to raise awareness for breast cancer. Seventy-five percent of proceeds and donations from the race will go toward treating and educating individuals with breast cancer in Austin. The remaining profits will go to Komen National to fund breast cancer research and community outreach programs.

PrintGlobe was proud to be a part of this great cause and hopes to participate again next year to keep reminding you to “check your globes!”
